Paul Westbrook began Westbrook & Associates in 1981, an engineer with a vision for creating a high-end dental laboratory able to turn out consistently excellent work. To this end, he has structured his business around three key principles: expert training, expertly designed processes, and exceptional service.

Paul is president and CEO of Biogenic Dental Corporation and its affiliates; Biogenic Dental Laboratories, Biogenic Technical Instructions, LLC (BTI), and Dental Engineering Company of America. Paul has over thirty year’s dental laboratory experience as a technician, technical director, laboratory owner, and innovator in prostheses fabrication.

For more than two decades, Reg has been a marketing, sales, and communication specialist and has co-owned and/or consulted for a variety of businesses and organizations. His energy, enthusiasm, and knowledge make him a popular and sought after course leader and keynote speaker.

Dr. Powers received a B.S. in chemistry (1967) and a Ph.D. in dental materials and mechanical engineering (1972) from the University of Michigan. He taught at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry from 1969-1988. He currently teaches at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston since 1989, where he is Professor of Oral Biomaterials in Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials and Director of the Houston Biomaterials Research Center.

Lee Culp, CDT is the founder of Mosaic Studios and the Institute for Oral Art and Design. He maintains an active teaching schedule at IOAD, as well as the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study, and other post graduate teaching centers focusing on reconstructive and esthetic dentistry.

A ceramist since 1996, Christina Farrier has created an exciting new way to tackle produc¬tion and contour problems in the dental laboratory. Christina has shared her techniques with laboratories nation-wide, through hands on demonstration.

Russell T. DeVreugd, C.D.T. is an international consultant and lecturer in the field of Fixed Restorative Dentistry. He has presented courses on occlusion, contour, color and anterior esthetics throughout North America and Europe.

Bennett Napier, CAE, is a Certified Association Executive and Co-Executive Director of the National Association of Dental Laboratories. Bennett has over 15 years experience in association management at both the state and federal level and worked in Washington D.C. as a congressional assistant before his start in organizational management.

Dr. Drevenstedtis founder and principal of Valmont Research LLC, a dental market research firm based in Los Angeles. Before starting an independent company, Greg was a project manager at Naitonal Analysts, Inc., a premier market research firm based in Philadelphia renowned for its state-of-the-art data collection and anaylsis.

Carter D. Thompkins, is a founding partner and Vice President of Client Operations for Integrated Management Systems, a nationally known consulting firm specializing in the development and implementation of quality management systems in the aerospace, technology, medical and manufacturing industries.

Dr. John Jameson, CEO of Jameson Management Inc., has been a practicing dentist for nearly 30 years and currently serves as chairman of the board for Jameson Management Inc., an international dental consulting and lecture firm.

Mr. Bellerino is a 1979 graduate of the Dental Technology Program at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry where he currently serves as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics. His extensive post graduate study has included the Pankey Institute and the Center for Advanced Dental Study (Dawson).

As president of SAFELINK INC. in Atlanta, GA, Mary develops and implements training programs addressing occupational safety and health issues and other agency compliance requirements.

Gilbert Young is a master ceramist with a passion for creating natural, beautiful and convincing smiles. His work is often known to captivate the most discriminating eyes for its beauty and realism.

Peter Pizzi is the owner and manager of Pizzi Dental Studio Inc. in Staten Island, NY and is a board member of the ASMDT and a member of ICIO and AACD.

JoAn Majors is the founder of Dentistry By Choice and has been an asset to the dental industry since 1982.

Dr. Mark Adams is a 1983 Graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and obtained a Master's degree in 1985 from the University of Michigan Graduate Prosthodontics Program. He is a former Clinical Professor in Graduate Prosthodontics at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and a past Alumni Speaker for the Pride Institute.

Greg Harris, BA is the founder of The Harris Group. He has enjoyed a career working with some of America's top companies including Nabisco, Scott Paper and Nobel Biocare.

Paul Wolff is CEO and President of da Vinci Studios in West Hills, California, a full service dental laboratory founded in 1975.

Scott B. Ward owned and operated Ward Dental Laboratory for over 25 years. Scott built Ward Lab into a high quality, full service laboratory servicing primarily Southeastern Michigan. Scott specialized in Implant and Cosmetic Dentistry. In 2001 Ward joined the DTI Team with 14 other laboratories in the United States and Canada.

Steven McGowan owns a small laboratory in Seattle, Washington. He has over 25 years of experience in all phases of ceramics and crown and bridge.

Master Ceramist Pinhas Adar, MDT, CDT, was trained in Tel Aviv, Israel then studied under the legendary Willi Geller in Zurich, Switzerland. He has more than 25 years experience in all phases of dental laboratory technology.

Matt Roberts is founder of CMR Dental Laboratory in Idaho Falls, Idaho and of Team Aesthetic Seminars. Matt is one of thirteen accredited ceramists in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Mark Murphy is Director of Professional Relations for the Pankey Institute (a not for profit foundation) in Key Biscayne Florida, and practices general dentistry part time in Rochester, Michigan, a north of Detroit.

David Lesh, CDT is founder and President of Dale Dental, Inc., America’s first dental lab exclusively for dental labs. David began his career in dental technology over 15 years ago working at his family-owned laboratory in both technical and managerial capacities. He worked as a Marketing Director for a large north east dental laboratory in addition to providing marketing consultation to other industries including internet technology and petroleum.

Chris Lowthorp, CDT, brings more than 30 years of knowledge and experience to his lectures. He began as a private technician, founded a 10-man dental lab specializing in ceramics and crown & bridge, and then established an esthetic lab of his own.

Jim has a Bachelors Degree in Biology and an Associates Degree in Chemical Technology. He earned the title of Certified Dental Technician during 20 years of at-the-bench experience in all phases of dental technology. In addition to a year as Director of Technical Services for Belle de St. Claire, he has spent the past twenty-two years with Sterngold as the head of the technical and educational departments and is also in charge of product development.

PAUL CASCONE SERVES AS Senior Vice-President of The Argen Corporation. He is responsible for research, quality control, technical services, assay & refining and manufacturing. He is also a Principal of HSE Consulting, specializing in product development and process improvement serving the metal and ceramic industries. Paul is an adjunct professor for Polytechnic Institute of New York and also consults for the National Institutes of Health, Washington, D.C.

Bob Long

Craig Pickett CDT, is NBC certified in Crown & Bridge with Technologist designation. He attended Brigham Young University and is a Recognized Graduate of Diablo Valley College in Dental Technology. As a 25 year CDT, Craig has been Lab Manager for two labs, a former representative with J.F. Jelenko & Co, Whaledent, Dentsply and owner of Pickett Fabrication (Vacaville, CA) and he has nearly 30 years of C&B and Ceramics experience.

Charles E. McClemens, CDT graduated from the United States Air Force School of Healthcare Sciences, which provided a solid foundation his career in the dental laboratory profession. He has also completed advanced studies under Dennis P. Tarnow, DDS and at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies, and is certified in ceramics by the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology. Most recently, he completed the written AACD examination on his quest to be one of the only twenty AACD accredited dental technicians in the world.

Dr. Dean Mersky, a 1976 graduate of the University of Detroit, School of Dentistry, practiced in Manhattan Beach, California for 26 years. Currently, Dr. Mersky serves as the director of clinical communication for the Captek Company.

Gary Morgan is a Compliance Advisor with SafeLink. After completion of studies in History and Government at the University of Texas at Austin, Gary worked for three years in retail business management and human resources. In 1977 Gary joined Morgan Dental Laboratory, which his wife founded in 1975.

Chuck Yenkner is a veteran of over 30 years in the dental industry. He began his career at The J.M. Ney Company where his first assignment included learning dental technology in the company laboratory.

Ricki Braswell, CAE, serves as the co-executive director for the National Association of Dental Laboratories (NADL). The NADL is the only national trade association representing dental laboratories in the United States.

Sherri Becker earned her Associate Degree of Applied Science from Texas State Technical College in Dental Lab Technology in May 1987.

David Carte, CDT, began his career in a privately owned dental lab and trained under Champe Butler Sr., MDT. He has fifteen years dental laboratory experience, including the last nine years at DSG’s Tincher/Butler Dental Laboratory in South Charleston, WV where he is currently the lead set-up person in the Denture Department.

Brian Connolly is the Southeast Regional Technology manager for Patterson Dental. He has been part of the dental community for over thirty years with most of them in the laboratory. Brian has also stepped outside of the dental community to evaluate manufacturing shifts with technology and has implemented quality systems to handle collaboration of multiple providers.

Mr. Cucchiaro has more than 22 years of professional experience in the area of dental laboratory technology industry, including 18 years in managerial and executive capacities.

A native of Toledo, Ohio, Gary earned a B.S. in Education from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio and a D.D.S. from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He and his wife, classmate Dr. Cheryl DeWood, completed a General Practice Residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. In 2004 he earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences at The University of Toledo College of Medicine.

Judy Fishman is president and founder of LMT Communications, Inc., publisher of LMT, the dental laboratory community’s leading magazine and sponsor of LMT LAB DAY, the largest and busiest dental laboratory trade shows in North America.

Ed Flocken received his Associates Arts Degree in Dental Technology from Los Angeles City College and his Bachelor's Degree from the University of California, Northridge, and completed post-graduate studies in dental science and advanced dental ceramics, at the International Dental Academy, Tokyo, Japan.

T.G. Hornischer Jr., C.D.T is the recipient of the NADL’s Excellence in Education Award and Merit Award for 2006. He is the general manager of Centric Dental Laboratory, a 25 person full-service dental laboratory in Bullard, Texas.

Hal and Glenda Jones own Summit Dental Lab, a 35-person C&B laboratory specializing in high quality cosmetic restorations. Founded in 1983 and located in Waco, Texas, Summit serves outstanding dentists all across the U.S.

Brian Lindke entered the Dental Laboratory industry in 1983 and became certified in Ceramics in 1990. He has held a variety of positions, including laboratory owner, in-house technician, Sales and Marketing and laboratory management. He has spent considerable time chairside with shade selection, preparation design and seating of restorations.

Adam McClanahan, CDT, is a graduate of the Putnam County Vocational-Technical Center where he serves on the Craft Committee. He is PTC Certified and has ten years dental laboratory experience. Adam is currently with DSG’s Tincher/Butler Dental Laboratory in South Charleston, WV where he is a Group Leader in the Crown & Bridge Department, Product Manager for Captek and assists in the Implant Department.

Frank Munzenmayer, CDT has over 35 years experience of technical, clinical, research and development experience in dental technology. After graduating from New York City College of Technology, Mr. Munzenmayer was employed for ten years as a Crown & Bridge / Ceramic Technician for three major dental labs in the New York & Connecticut areas. For the remainder of his career, he has managed Technical / Education Departments, and has been a Technical Advisor for six major Dental Manufacturers. His articles have been published in several trade journals. He has lectured and performed hands-on presentations regarding various subject matter to thousands of dental technicians, and dentists at major trade shows, study clubs, and dental labs, both domestically and internationally. He is a member of the Technical Advisory Commission at New York City College of Technology.

Nelson Rego owns and operates "Smile Designs by Rego", a progressive dental laboratory specializing in ceramics in Santa Fe Springs, California. Nelson Rego, CDT and Juan Rego established the laboratory in 1980. Mr. Rego is a certified dental technician (CDT) who has studied with some of the best dentists and ceramists in dentistry today. He has written several articles pertaining to dental materials and techniques which have appeared in many of the leading dental journals. He is also an Accredited Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is an evaluator and speaker for several dental product manufacturers including Ivoclar-Vivadent, Vident, and Axis Dental.

Buddy Shafer, Jr., CDT, is a board certified technician with over 35 years of experience and is the co-owner of Bay View Dental Laboratory, Inc., Chesapeake Virginia. His educational background includes membership and training with the prestigious International Society for Dental Ceramics (ISDC), Society for Occlusal Studies, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), as well as 3,000+ hours of comprehensive study with noted clinicians from around the world. A published author, Buddy is on the faculty of The Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida teaching occlusion, function and comprehensive treatment planning. His special area of interest is teaching occlusion and function and treatment planning comprehensive restorations cases.

After obtaining his certificate in Dental Laboratory Technology from Los Angeles City College in 1977, Mr. Weisz received advanced training in tooth form and ceramics from Dr. Peter K. Thomas’ son, Duke, in Hawaii and later began working on comprehensive reconstruction cases within a gnathology practice in Berkeley, CA. As a lab owner in Seattle, WA, he focused on comprehensive case design, post-ceramic soldering, and implant technology, with cases from Dr. John Kois and the Graduate Department of Prosthodontics, University of Washington School of Dentistry.
