Paul’s laboratory operations employ over 75 highly trained staff members. Paul has pioneered the use of laser technology in the dental laboratory industry, creating techniques for component laser assembling of implant support frames and superstructures. By utilizing laser technology Paul has developed procedures that ensure passive fitting, retrievable, and serviceable screw retained titanium prosthetic appliances. These procedures have greatly enhanced the dental laboratory industry’s ability to fabricate passive seating implant restorations vital to the long term success of the implant to bone interface.

Paul opened BTI in 1995, since then Paul and his training staff have instructed over 400 dental laboratories as to the benefits of laser welding and component laser implant assembly. More than 1,500 dental technicians in North America have attended Paul’s laser welding courses held at the “state of the art” laser training facilities of BTI. Paul has lectured extensively to dentist and laboratory groups all across North America as to the benefits that can be realized utilizing laser welding technology.

Paul’s engineering group designs and builds the highest quality (fiber optic delivered) laser welding equipment available today. Paul did this by integrating a team of laser physicists and laser engineers with dental technologist that had over twelve years of laser welding experience. The result is laser equipment, training, and service programs specifically designed for the challenges of today’s dental laboratory industry.
